Jerzy Żuławski - The Lunar Trilogy →

Science Fiction fans check this out! Jerzy Żuławski was a late nineteenth and early twentieth century Polish poet, playwright, critic and novelist who wrote, among many other things, a series of works called The Lunar Trilogy. Stanislaw Lem hailed these as his to inspiration to become “a writer of the fantastic,” and described the time he spent reading it as one of the most fascinating and life-changing experiences of his youth. He even went on to write introductions to two editions of The Lunar Trilogy.

If you don’t know already, Stanislaw Lem is by far my favorite author. And if you’ve never read Lem, I urge you to run, don’t walk, to your local bookseller and pick up a copy of Return from the Stars, Solaris, or The Cyberiad. They will change your life.

If anyone knows offhand where I can pick up a copy of The Lunar Trilogy, make sure you drop me a line any which way, or leave me a comment here on Spacewater.

My new friend Katarzyna Arhnold sent me this link and I am so excited and grateful. Thanks Katarzyna!
